Which neighbour buildings are best for drops?
I have good success with;
Planetarium
MCC 1 2 and 3
Launch pads 1 2 and 3
Labs.

I have occasional success with residential buildings;
Cottage
Side Wing
Multi story
stone Castle

So what other buildings especially in large lvl50 cities are worth a neighbour visit?

I always stick to the planetariums as they are what's needed to collect space fuel chests.

I agree Dave, I am mostly after space stuff, so that is why I go for those buildings, but really anything that helps some of the 2000 coin paying collections would also be worthwhile, or anything that leads towards the better bonuses (eg. Inconvertible coin, etc).

I just see that the Lvl 50 cities have some exotic buildings, and sometimes a lot of them. Are they only beneficial for the owner or is there any neighbour visit benefit?

I heard that Alien Legacy and Rocket Garden use to drop stuff but now don't. Is that also correct.

Alien Legacy & Rocket Garden still drops space items for the (android) player, but not visitors anymore.

Training centre (blue roundish building on airport side) also drops space items for visitors, but not as often as Planetariums.
