All about Reputation

Reputation is an important part of Airport City. It determines how many neighbors you can visit and how many gifts you can send. But Reputation doesn't increase on its own. It can only be increased by visiting neighbors and "helping" them. This means tapping on buildings or entities in their city.

By tapping on buildings in your neighbors' cities, you can earn extra coins, passengers, fuel and items for collections. During events, there is often items around the city called entities. By tapping these, you often earn items that will help you complete the event. Think about what you might need to collect before starting to visit neighbors every day.

You can find your reputation level a few ways
  1. Tap the Wings/Level icon in the top left of the screen to open your profile page
  2. Open your profile page from the Friends icon at the bottom of the screen
  3. Or visit a neighbor which will show this

The number inside the heart is your Reputation level (18 in this case). The numbers beside the heart show your current reputation points (52) and how many reputation points you need to get to the next Reputation Level (220). This wiki thread has a full list of Reputation Levels and points required to get there https://www.airportcitygame.com/wiki/reputation_level/

When you first visit a neighbor, you will see 5 icons on the left of the screen. As you tap on buildings, the icons on the side will disappear.

Once you have tapped on 5 buildings, the original fuel/passenger/coin icons go away and (depending on your platform) you will get a video symbol. This tells you that you have tapped enough to get another reputation point. At the beginning, I had 52/200. After 5 taps, I have 53/200. This brings me one point closer to getting to the next reputation level.

You can tell if you got a reputation point from a neighbor by checking your friend list. If you get a reputation point from visiting the neighbor on that day, there will be a heart by their name in the list. If the heart does not appear, you didn't complete 5 taps.

Some things to note:
  • If you go to a neighbor city and tap on NOTHING, this does not count as a visit. Check out the city before tapping buildings to make sure there are 5 you want to tap on.
  • Even if you only tap one building in a city, it counts as a visit. But you won't earn the reputation point until you tap 5 things.
  • There is a maximum number of visits you can do each day which is determined by your reputation level. Once you reach reputation level 10, you have reached the maximum number of visits which is 12.
  • Visit every day. Even when you achieve the highest Reputation Level, you will still benefit by visiting neighbors.
