I am experiencing the same problem with the level 5 town hall... Time to built according to the counter: 24 hours (is that the same time in the shop (when you haven't built it) ???), but it is now building for more than 32 hours... But I have time, it is not that urgent.

Has anyone figured out yet, how many flights you have to make in order to become a specialist/master/expert? I made several flights to Thailand and became an expert very fast, but I have the impression that the exact same number of flights to San Francisco have not made me an expert so far...

No need to panic! You might have forgotten, that you need a special item to go to Bali, too. In order to get this item you have to fly to the T. Riviera first. So you would only save some time, because the flight time to Bali & Co is less than to Rome & London. But you still have to fly to two...

As you might have noticed when reading my not so well written messages, I am everything else than a native speaker ;) But I live in an European country as well *g* My main problem is the translation of the item names in English and back, when writing or reading their names here.

One piece of road is enough for one building, you do not have to build an ongoing road from one building to another. Buildings that supply your city and airport with energy do not need any road next to them.

I absolutely agree. The items you are able to send to neighbours are very limited in the new version. Maybe it saved the players too much (real) money, so the guys of game insight changed it in an ungenerously way. I am curious about the result of your attempt to downgrade. If it works, I will...
