don't do anything with your game yet. GI may introduce another quick update to fix the problem so you do not lose anything. If you do as wired parrot said and reinstall the game before getting the reset code GI may not give to you since you deleted the game without authorization.

you are correct with the general idea, except we don't know what experience level is needed to jump to level 50. GI has not decided what level is next. In mobile games, they released level 45 then level 50. We will have to wait and see.
