I think one of the most important thing you missed is "Never upgrade a building on impulse". Check airport city wikia and your warehouse stock first before you spend thousands/millions of coins and click "upgrade". Ideally, you should be trading with your neighbours on your required items...

I'm sorry, but I don't do a lot of launches nowadays. I would advice you to find a few like-minded players to do green launches together.

You should skip Duty Free and Baggage Hall. And don't bother with the disposable Cosmic Fuel Station. You can also skip Green & Blue Launch (and build them later). Reserve hangar is quite essential, I think. But it would be hard to upgrade your runway if you have too small an airport area.

You cannot sell the Repair Base - you need to upgrade it. Open the Repair Base and look for an arrow icon, when you click on it you can upgrade it by paying (a lot of) coins. You will also need to collect certain items, which you can get from flights or buy with greens or get by watching...
