A month or so ago they began deactivating codes shortly after the weekend was over. In that change they also deactivated old codes.

Sounds like my experience. I just tried a few times until it eventually did download from the server. @DalePorter46's suggestion also seemed to work for a lot of people as well.

This happened to me as well. I had to try a few times to get it to connect to the server and actually download. Their servers are taking a huge hit right now, unfortunately, so it's not working flawlessly, but you're almost there. Just keep trying.

Did you update Airport City HD as well? To the new version with the gray icon?

I'm sorry that didn't work for you. It may be beneficial to send them a ticket. That way they can specifically look at her account and make sure it comes back as quickly as possible.

Personally, I skip the days that require flights to be sped up with fuel unless I was already planning on doing so anyway.

I would suggest she play the game until level 3. When it asks for a username, don't put one in, but instead hit the X in the upper right corner and it *should* give her the prompt to download her existing game from the server. That's what worked for me on my iPad Pro.

It definitely seems like GD is decreasing the drop rates. I visited 5x12 neighbors on my iPad with GD and got 32 collections. Normally I would get 60-75 depending on the day. @Red199 said he got this response from G! in reference to it:
