General How do you utilise favourite neighbours

When I first started playing I used favourite neighbours for people I shared gifts with. That way if they missed a day or what ever I could still gift them.

I then changed it so people that I wanted to visit on a daily basis would be favourites.

I now have more trouble tracking who I gift on a daily basis. For the most part I rely on not clearing my gift list and returning their needs, however there is a bug that sometimes accepting a gift removes them from the list. Also sometimes people miss a day so then they are not on my list for the following day.

So how do you guys work favourites for gifting and visits?

When I first started I add to favorites all those who has 6 Planetariums. I gift to my alliance first then the favorites as they are the ones who are best at checking your signature and returning what you are requesting. I regularly see most received gifts change to whatever I'm requesting right away as these are the more experienced and aware players who understand the important help in the gifting process.

I use favorites for visiting. My gifting is done in alphabetical rotation (except for alliance leaders and special requests), so all I have to keep track of is who I last gifted, and who the next one is. I just go with the assumption that all my neighbors send me a gift sooner or later, as it was just too time consuming to keep track of who sent and who didn't. I don't worry a lot about what they send, because sooner or later, almost all gifts are usable.

I use it for gifting. Alliance first then favs. If an alliance member were to request factory items (crucible, edge banding machine, etc) I mark them as favs as well. Helps me identify to gift something other than game name.

I usually only visit the same neighbors each day so it's not hard for me to find them
Well, I must confess that for gifting I have a real paper and pencil notebook....

My neighbor list is full, so I use the favorites to easily identify my daily trade partners. Beats having to scroll through 500 game names!

Using favorites for daily visits isn’t really necessary, at least for me. After playing AC daily for 3+ years, you tend to have a good idea of which neighbors have planetarium, training centers and event related buildings.

Its a question of what works for an individual. Hands up who has a notice board in their kitchen to write "To Do" lists? Anyone still use a diary for appointments? So I think that you allocate neighbours "Favourite" status according to what helps you play your game to your satisfaction.

For me the "favourites"are (a) people with 5 planetariums and (b) people I want to find quickly - my fuel ring mostly. But as nearly half of my 5 planetarium neighbours are also in my fuel ring I only have 25 "Favourites." Not sure why @Anton01 puts alliance members as favourites - you can sort your neighbours so the alliance members are top - no need for them to be favourites as well.

My gifting policy has changed since I started playing - and I now have a support account that gives me additional gifting options. Everyone in my alliance gets a gift (sometimes they get 2 from different accounts). I have some regular gifting partners who always send me a gift and I always send one back. Although my biggest problem is remembering to send all the gifts every day.... and I have a bad habit of clicking the wrong gift or neighbour. :ROFLMAO: But that could just be an "age" thing o_O

I will favorite an alliance member if they are needing say sweets factory items, but don't put it in their game name. It helps me know that they requested something "special " for gifting
