I had to update through the Microsoft Store and Play Store.

Biggest change:
New currency = Egyptian Icon (https://www.airportcitygame.com/wiki/egyptian_icon/)
These can be used to purchase new buildings within the Store (separate tab from the other buildings)

This is NOT part of the event, but is a permanent change in the game.

how do you know that the Egyptian icon currency will still be available after the event?

Official G! PC App at the current moment in time still displays v.8.50.00.
Fingers crossed that Official App will not be left out.

I know it because I am in contact with people at GI. They confirmed it.

(Please keep in mind this contact does NOT mean I know what is going to happen or anything else. I get surprised by changes like everyone does.)

In order to get the full bonus from museum of ancient Egypt, you need 6 Egypt buildings within its bonus range
