Wi-Fi Mac Address

Hi,

I filed an issue at GI, didn't get 11 greenies on Iphone.
So far they have asked me a lot in the past, but this time they ask my Wi-Fi Mac Address. As I am not that technical, what could be the reason they want my Wi-Fi Mac Address of my phone???

And what can you do with it?
