About when the events end. I'm sure that they don't end at the same time. When an event ends, it can take seconds or hours to get the end result. I'm certain that it does not take the system hours to come up the results of the event...so why does it sometimes take hours? I say its because the event does not end at the same time for each of the 100 players in your event. That is because not everyone in your event started at the same time. I'm not sure how many it takes to "start" your event group, but I have sometimes had 50 or so players with 50 open spots that are filled later as players start the event. That means either the last member to join gets cheated out of whatever time he missed before he joined....or....the game allows his clock to start at the time he joins the group, not when the 1st person joined. That means that the end of the game is different for each member of the group based on when he joined, and the reason you don't get the results of your game right after it ends. Depending on when you joined the game in relation to the others in your group of 100, you could be playing hours longer than the first members to join. THAT is why you often have to wait for the results to be posted for your game. If you are the last memeber to join your results will come right away because you are the last member to stop playing. I have posted this before and was told by everyone who responded that I was crazy, that the game ends at the same time for everyone playing regardless of when you start ... and the airport city logic just can't handle the results all at once and it takes hours for it to figure it out. Lets see what you guys are saying these days.....

The event starts when it starts. Someone might have to do a forced updated in order to get the event but the event has always started at the same time on all of my games.

The event ends when it ends, and it always ends at the same time on all of my games.

You don't "join" the competition with the other 100 players until you take a reward in order to start placing and competing with the others. I always "take" my first reward at a time that I have figured out in order to have less competition from other players and it has worked out favorably for me. I sometime even use some of my support accounts and "take" the reward in order to fill up additional spots within the 100 in order to keep other players out and further reduce the competition. Even when I start an event on different days on my different accounts, they always end at the exact same time. Every time. All the time. Mondays at 3pm local. Always.

So, my question to you would be why does it take so long for the new weekly alliance flight destinations to appear? It would seem as if it should happen almost immediately but takes hours. Since they both don't happen immediately I only have to assume that there is something that needs to happen on the server with the massive amount of games that are played.

Have you even gotten a screen shot of when your event ends and compared it to other people in order to see that they are the exact same time or different?

So if I read your reply correctly your saying that you have filled up some of the 100 spots in a group with several of your accounts. How do you get the system to put all of the accounts into the same game? And if you manage that, are not all the accounts basically starting at the same time? I only use one account, so I don't know how all that works. Do you always start your game at the same time (the time you figured out there is less competition)? If so, that would explain why they end at the same time on Mondays. My games don't always end at the same time on Mondays is why I am asking. I don't always start them at the same times on Thursdays either. But generally, if I start the game at a particular time on Thursday, it does indeed end at a partuclar time on Monday. If I start at a different time on Thursday it ends at a different time on the Monday.

But, what you are saying is there is a "master" clock that starts itself at some point on Thursday and all the games are using that clock regardless of when they fill with players and go "live". So all the games end at the exact same time...which is 3pm locally for you? Ok, I guess that makes sense. What time does the game start locally for you...not when you join but when the game actually starts on Thursday?

As to why it takes so long for alliance flight destinations to appear I don't know why, but I see that you are suggesting that the server has issues with handling data and that is why....and also why it can't calculate the game results for hours. That might be right, although it can calculate each individuals' running score throughout the game 24/7 and display the update every 10 mins or so. Since it basicaly is just doing that same thing at the end of the game it should know the result totals within 10 mins of the games ending. Honestly, this game is very Server friendly, most of the game is run off the individual computers...and really it does not use much resources from them either. But you still might be right...they might be using one laptop as a server for this whole game...and it gets a bit behind.

As far as comparing game endings with others the answer is no. There is not much in the way of social interaction with others built into the game. This forum is as close as it gets. I have no way of talking with other players in my "friends" list, which is a big missing part of this game. I understand the game did have something like that at one time... but that was before my time. Again, maybe they don't have the server resources to do that. This forum is as close as it gets to social interaction...and its pretty dead here most of the time.
