Here's how to disable windows update in win 10

2. go to control panel
3. go to system & security
4. go to administrative tools
5. go to services
6. scroll to windows update
7. left click win update
8. go to properties
9. go to start-up type
10. choose disabled
11. click apply

you will need to turn it on to update, and to download from windows store
