i may be mistaken, but it really didn't look like those planetariums gave me more than a few coins each.

They give you collectible items. Complete the collection and you get lots of reward points and cash. You also get items for red space launches.
I get about 15-20000 coins a day from only visiting planetariums.
There is a post of people with multiple planetariums, become their neighbours.
