iOS Can you actually add neighbors?

I've sent lots of friend requests and the only ones that showed up was when I updated the game. I've tried to add people via there name and the random stuff in game.

If you are having trouble adding neighbours in the game (not from this forum), that is an old problem. There are lots of inactive games out there, so those friend requests you send out, there may not be anyone playing anymore.

It has been worse lately, because there was no IOS update for a million weeks. But now, IOS (Apple) neighbors are playing again, because they have their update.
