Accidently Uninstalled

Hi,

I accidently unistalled the game this morning and it's started from the beginning again. Before I think about e-mail them, has anyone done this before and is it retrievable?

I don't fancy 100 e-mails to support to be told it can't be done.

I feel a right idiot, thought it was bad enough when I spent greens on a spare repair slot by clicking away but this takes the biscuit!

Not sure if I can be bothered to start all over again... Clown!

I have been told that the game is saved on the device, so if you reinstall the game, you may be able to retrieve the save file. When my sons tablet broke and he got a new one, GI stated that the game is saved on the device. Hope this helps.

Can't hurt to ask GI, but I think you might be SOL.

It depends if you have elected Yes for "Back up my data" and "Automatic restore" under Privacy settings.
If yes then when you reinstall the game you will get it back to normal.
I have also read that GI can recover the game from their servers, but there are problems with you neighbours list.

I have had 2 instances of the game resetting, the first they gave me a friend code which restored my game, the second they claimed there was nothing they could to except to give me anything I had purchased with real money again, so based on this it seems like it depends on the scenario. I would go out on a limb and say its impossible that its only stored on the device, it just takes them a bit of work to restore. If the game is only stored on the device than how can friends visit you city when the device is off?

I have a HTC Nexus 1 with the last version of Eclair 2.3.6
Under Settings/Privacy settings
When I first started Airport City I really stuffed it up so I uninstalled then reinstalled it. Unfortunately for me it picked up my back up and I had the same problem.
Solution was to turn off the back up. Uninstall then reinstall then start again. I later turned the back ups back on.

Blackcloud - I do have those settings with Automatic Restore ticked and back up my settings ticked, however, i've tried to re-install it twice and it starts from the beginning again.

I'll drop them an e-mail see what happens. I've started again anyway, on level 7 now :blush:
