A QL is a quantum leap - cuts about 90% of launch flight time, ie 24 hours becomes 2hr 24min. If 2 QL's in a launch, the time is about 14 minutes - 3 QL's make the launch a little over 1 minutes. You earn QL's by completing 3 stars in the launches, or by completing maps you get in the launches.
