I liked them because have a low population hit (18) to pax produced (36/hour) ratio, all in a 2x2 square. I didn't care about the item drops at the time, it was about maximizing my yield for a given square size and population hit.

Another option is to take temporary breaks. Even when I was a newer player I didn't feel compelled to work on every event. It can be a grind, and for long term sanity and allowing for alternate cash spending, I sometimes just spend a month grinding on stars and only collecting coins as I feel...

Well, it certainly seems watching the ad is no longer sufficient to get the item. This is for other ads too. At this point, why bother watching the ad if I can't get a reward?

In the past after an event you could watch ads to complete the building, e.g. watch an ad, get a freezer. However this time around it doesn't seem to be the case. I can't see spending so many greenies completing these event buildings. I wonder if in a day or so when things reset if this will...
