I wonder what the game considers to be the time frame for a person to become inactive. I mean, what if you go away on a long weekend and come back to the game, only to find out half your neighbours deleted you for being inactive?

My last vintage weathervane (after the Vegas/Barcelona/StPetersburg update) did actually work. (As in: it didn't disappear this time). It does however only affect planes you send off AFTER activating it =/

Yup you just have to send out flights, lots of them. You can get items from your neighbours (rope block, handling line and the other thing), but the sand bags only drop from flights. Took me quite a while to collect these.

No it disappeared after I activated it. It was active for about 3 or 4 hours and then it was gone. I don't remember if I had exited the game, I play on the tablet and I often just turn off the screen, not the game.
