I have not updated yet. Most likely I will by Sunday after we get the Alliance rewards. The timing is not conducive right now with work meetings and such. Once I updated, I will contact everyone so I can send invites or how it is done now. Thanks for letting me know.

Is gifting really supposed to work that way? Why can't it be the same as before, I wonder. It's so messed up. Does this mean when you update, you have to delete and re-add every neighbor for the gifting to work? I hope not, as I have over 300 neighbors. Also, does it work this way for all...

I don't know where you are in the game... but if you can't afford some stuff for now, just concentrate on saving up coins, greens and item drops. You're going to need them bad as you progress because yes, things will get expensive. When I upgraded town hall, runways, etc, I did not do them all...
