I've played a lot of those to death - including playing Civ 3 at night...and then realising it was 5.45am and I had to be up for work in an hour!
Have had most iterations of Champ Man/Football Manager and many of the Warcraft expansions - just don't like playing in groups with other people...
Remember you can use the extensions on gmail addresses using the +. So, say your email address is AirportCity@gmail.com, you can have:

Thought I'd try the game via Facebook, just for a giggle and a potential new support account. I've a special FB account for gaming that has zero friends, because I don't want to receive a million friend requests from people I don't know on my main FB account.

Very true, but I guess that if one isn't logging in to collect gifts at least once a fortnight, they're not that committed to the game, so also aren't that bothered about losing items for having over 100...?

Are they not saying that it's only those that aren't claimed that will be lost? There's no requirement to actually *use* the gift, once claimed, in that time?
To be honest, if you're not logging in just once every 14 days to play, you can't really complain at losing gifts.
I'm sure you're not meaning it to sound as patronising as it comes across, but I think we all know that. It's not a big issue, just funny how large the imbalance gets
