Android Ridiculous Data Usage!

First of all, my game still has not reset after latest update so unable to gift or visit (wonder how much data that will use?)

Went on this am and it took 5 minites to load, and this was offline. Did all my major stuff, landing my planes and collecting income and passengers. Got off and checked data use- 2MB. Cleaned cache signed in again, still 5 minute load. Collected neighbor visits, launched 4 planes, collected only 2 gifts and got out. Data use? 10 MB!!! Since I only have 1 GB memory on this tablet that's about all it will handle. And remember, I didn't even get to gift neighbors nor visit them!

I really don't know how much longer I will play here. It's always something...

Yeah, that is ridiculous, but you know that you can disable your Android's data signal temporarily. Only the parts involving neighbors require internet access.

Able to visit neighbors and gift now but my game simply closes when too much data is used,
Now to play, I have to do it in shifts, coming out to clear my cache, not fun.
