What are Institutes of Volcanology and how does one acquire them?

Under Collections, see page 2 of 187. This collection, Volcanologist Equipment, includes drop items you receive from flights to the volcanos. For each complete collection you get an Institute of Volcanology building. This building at your airport will provide Jackhammer drops. You will need the jackhammers to visit your volcano. When you visit your volcano you will get random drop items for the They're not rocks, They're Minerals collection.

Using Spy Glass and Sky Captain (if you have it) improves the drop rate.
