I'm not even an older player and this sucks because you're creating a multi tiered system depending on when you started playing the game. This should theoretically never impact iOS users anymore but that's a pretty unfair penalty to others when a game just flat out crashes

So I was under the impression the percentages would be based on flights taken to the alliance destinations. If a have a denominator of 12 (3 destinations x 4 alliance members) then we aren't going anywhere anytime soon and I doubt many are

Every alliance member has different destinations and number of flights to get those. I assume the progress bar is a percentage of the sum of all our flights
As someone mentioned earlier it would be nice to see how it all is designed to work, but I suspect we will all be figuring it out then...
I was looking at this a bit more and there are progress checks too that yield you points and bonuses along the way. For example, 10% of a destination gives you 2 alliance points and a bonus. There's ones at 30%, 50%, etc as well.

The events are fun to try even for newer players. If you focus on flying to the destinations to get you collections I think it's pretty doable. I would say thus far it isn't as hard as my first one last year.
The benches, video boards, robotic lawn mowers and goals you read about are needed...
Correction...it showed we got the point but didn't add it. I swear the last two weeks it never showed us the point even so I assumed it somehow got fixed

I haven't flown a single plane needing them but I have 125 blankets from building laundry facilities . I'm just building my first sweets factory now too to try and avoid needing to build too many of them
