There were considerable issues when GI moved from Russia to Lithuania. First, they did not even have events. Then, they just recycled events. Now, they are adding new buildings in the recycled events. Hopefully this means they will continue the progression towards new destinations, events, etc...

You can only use one QL for your game, but you can join a launch with other players who have QLs. Each QL on a launch speeds up the launch by 90% and the effects of multiple QLs are additive.

You joined their launch, which includes their game name.

If the leader has a QL and has put in 576 points, it is good etiquette to NOT pass them. If they have added a low number of points, then they expect to be passed by others.

The new price is permanent. GI has stated that they increased the price because they are paying devs to work on the game now. I can confirm that the game has new-ish things because I update the wiki and they are keeping us on our toes with differences for each event this year. Hoping that will...
