In my opinion you only need one of those facilities to start saving up. By the time you get to needing blankets or lollipops you have an ice cache of them. I personally would fly reds even if it's once per day. You'll find flying too often means you have very little rocket fuel so for newer...

I've kicked around not launching much for a week or two in order to build up. This has just been a bad drop week for me and I feel like I need to step back and reload.
