2015 Russian Victory Day Quest

If you're hesitant to play this quest because you're worried about changing your iOS device back and forth from Russian to English (or whatever), I completely understand. Two years ago, I was very uncomfortable doing this. Thankfully, the Russian-speaking forum members made it relatively easy with a quest guide (see above).
My only suggestion is that you do not open any other games while in Russian-mode. I did this last year and lost the quest I was playing on Dragonvale. Today I change to Russian, play AC, change back to English to do other things and play other games on my iPad. Then I change back to Russian to play AC. Rinse. Repeat.
For iOS, go to Settings -- General -- Language & Region -- Select Russian. Confirm the change then wait for the device to switch languages.
For those Android players, apparently there are applications that let you change your language. Perhaps some Android players can describe the process as it exists today.

I do not have this quest on my game. From what I understood, I need to change the region of my device to Russia.
1. Will that boot up the quest in my game?
2. Will it cause any time traveller problems?
3. Would it matter if I left the region as Russia in my device? I dont play other games.

1. Switch the language (not region) to Russian: Settings - General - Language & Region - Select Russian language. Confirm the change then wait for the device to switch languages.
2. If you only change the language to Russian, it will not cause time-traveling. If you change the Region you are changing the time zone of the device and that could trigger the time-traveling notice. Do not change the Region!
3. Again, do not change the Region!
Even though the language is different, the icons are still the same. If you know AC, you should not have a problem tapping on the wrong button. If you are a newbie at AC, you probably don't know the layout of the screen and the icons and you could have problems.
I always close all apps (except for Settings, of course) before I change to Russian and back to English. When I'm in Russian I never open any other app. Like I said, last year I forgot and opened Dragonvale and the quest I was working on there shut down and would not reappear when I changed back to English.

On the lighter side there is another challenge to this. Try changing your iPad back to English when you are in Russian. Anyway got it done by using my iPhone as a guide. Next time should be a breeze!

My initial thoughts are it will be cumbersome changing languages on your device each time you wish to play the quest. Let's see how it pans out.

Guys, I had a super captain bonus active and i added a spyglass. All flights to Cyprus dropped all 4 items for the fighter plane hangars per landing. Drop rates were at a maximum. I go my 3 hangars built. NO need for hangar items. I will keep track of signatures on this thread to see who needs green paint. I am having trouble dropping items to acquire my fighter planes even with 2 bonuses active. So my hangars for now are in commission but collecting dust

Switching between Russian and your own language will not affect progress in the game.

Example: If you launch flights for Russian quest, exit the game then launch the game in English, the flights will still land, but you won't get any drops nor will you be able to send those flights to quest destinations again until you enter the game in Russian. Likewise with the Veterans Museum - no drops unless you are playing in Russian.

To android players: I found the best way to remember to switch language is to download an app called "change language" (all it does is take you to the change language screen) and create a shortcut folder with that and airport city in on your homepage, working well for me.


Ah yea I should have mentioned, had to guess it too lol, it's Pусский if anyone else needed to know
