So they raised the fuel needed for flights after 5 days. Another 5 days will be up in about 4 hours, wonder if they are going to jack the cost per flight again. I'm hopeful they won't as the first time was a pretty substantial amount. I can't imagine using 80 fuel or so for just one flight. o_O

I am assuming just like the Age of Ash event, the fuel needed will increase as we get closer to the end. I don't remember what the final bonus fuel was for it, but I imagine this will be similar.

That is what I assume as well though it seemed like the first bump in this event was much larger than
ago of ash. Of course this could just be my selective memory forgetting an unpleasant portion of that
event. :cautious:

Indeed looks like I was right. They doubled the extra amounts. So taking this into account I assume
Khabarovsk will be 50+45 in five more days. I find that somewhat ridiculous it makes the events almost
not worth trying at this point. We won't even go into the lost 3 days of regular fuel cost flights for windows players.
As far as I know there is no ending like age of ash so setting the events end to a specific date to end makes
no sense. Unless there is some type ending that you must wait for I feel a straight countdown clock is the
way to go. This way all players on all platforms have the same opportunity in the same time frame.

Agree. And I think it was designed this way so majority of players will not 3-star all destinations in one event, so that you have something to do next time the event comes around again. Also, so you will use up more fuel.

This is the first event that I have to give up. Drop rates are just too low.
Used two spyglasses earlier and managed to get two snow melting facilities. After that couple of days flying to winter locations and I got only two item drops.
So I used third spyglass but didn't get a single item drop from winter locations.:(

Not worth of wasting all spygalsses or other recourses... Reward is not so great after all.
It was much more fun to do these events when it was possible to make it without dozens of bonuses.

Omg the drop rate of the snow globe is horrible. Used 3x spyglass since event started and got 4 buildings and I got 2-4-2-2-6!! I don't I can get this done :(
I agree the drop rates for the snow globes is HORRIBLE. I hate wasting a spyglass bonus when you can realistically get only 18 drops during its time active. The last one I used I got a whopping 2/18 drops!! Technically you could get 24 drops, but I don't have time to wait around and hit the drops exactly every 90 minutes. It is very disappointing that you can't complete these new quests w/o using bonuses. I feel sorry for newer players - I have a decent supply of most bonuses, but I have been playing forever.

I have completely given up on this event. Age of ash drove me bonkers with its drop rate. I just finished using a combination of Spy Glass, Golden Dice and Sky Captain and got diddly squat from 320 flights.

Plus the fuel requirements are mental on this one, worse than Age of ash.

As everyone has said, Drop rates for the globes is low but there are still 9 days to go.

I have 6 globes and I get maybe 3 or 4 drops a day which isn't a lot but all counts. I'm sure I'll finish it.

I actually like events like this, I 3,stared Quebec, Innsbruck and Fargo in the first week and now just need 2 pines to complete the wreaths and 5 globes to complete let it snow. I used one SG after saving up 150+ shovels and went for one big digging and flying session with the SG active. I have one more SG but hoping not to need it as there are 9 days left - plus on AofA didn't GI give us an extra bonus in the last week with an extra code? I'm saving all shovels again and will use them in bulk as before to get my last 2 pines.

I have nowhere near the volume of resources that some of you have, I've just planned my strategy going of previous experience of quests'- get the flights done and keep plodding on with the rest.

I am convinced that as well as increasing the fuel the drop rate has dropped from planes (a lack of diesel engines relative to the other parts) and from snow facilities (seals seem to be the low drop items). However now that I don't need them drops for the green belt collection seem to have increased.

I am here with this event: 14/7, 14/7 and 5/7.

One more Earless Seal and two more Snowy Owl. Drops are rare, but they are. Since it is still 9d to go, plenty of time.
Good luck, pilots! (y)

Its a very fine line between making something challenging and enjoyable. Unfortunately I think GI have hit neither of those and just made this event impossible for the great majority.

The quests never used to be this difficult before. Back then yes they were challenging, but also enjoyable at the same time.

If your going to make an event very difficult that requires checking back into the game numerous times a day and using vast quantities of fuel, then make the prize something very worth while - Like a bank/casino. With an end prize like that, people would understand if only 2/100 people managed to complete it.
