Maximum amount of stars

I am at 461 Stars and maxed out, however somehow along the line I missed 6 stars in events.

I recall couple years back 3 starring a flight just to have to do it all over again after an update. Didn't loose any stars just had to fly for them AGAIN.

Below the explanation that updates this thread.
For today there are 500 destinations altogether, which means a maximum of 1500 stars.
There are few players who have more, but that's because they've been double awarded some stars in the past by game bugs.
Enjoy flying waiting for new levels and new destinations.

Yes, 500 - there are all destinations in the game including event, alliance, excavations maps, rockets, helicopters.
