I am despairing of GI support again. This morning the offer of the town squares popped up so I made two small purchases- what did I get - nada!
I sent support the receipts and an image of the offer - their response "referring it to level 2 support!" Just how complicated can it be?

It's like this every time. They have something borked. The second and up purchases are shown as special offer, but the system thinks the third and up are special - so only those purchases are automatically rewarded.
When you buy the second purchase, you have to go through support and they will manually add the reward to your account. Of course the 1st level guys don't have the kind of access to give away items, so all they can do is to forward it up to someone with necessary powers.

Once you disregard the error that caused it - it's all as simple as it can be, given the scale of GI's operation.

Good Morning from London (11.00am GMT)

This early mornings neighbours plunder brought in a very pleasing 25,700 coins and 17 launch ready blue chests, of which 9 were high valued resource items. My neighbours 20 gifts for today, Wednesday 18th May, have been gifted. My thanks to all of my neighbours for all of their continued gifts.

I'm currently waiting for my Falcon Hangar to become solid (19 hours left to go) so I can then purchase my 4th Falcon S1 Plane using gold and silver tokens. I then have two weeks to wait until I'm able to purchase my next plot of land. In the meantime, there are other gaming matters to be getting on with.

Therefore tomorrow I will start with the bottom of my list and work my way to the top.

I know of at least 20 participants in a red launch a few months ago. There was a green one with I think 16-18 in it around the same time as the red record. This is for Windows PC, some other platforms may have had more.

What do places 4+ get out of the ride? Any silver?

Sig updated. No major changes. Thanks for the incoming gifts. My 20 are in the mail. And I just updated my gifting list after my mailing.

Tower 5 is being built. Power station just got constructed. Level 4 hanger and jet to follow. Then to start saving for a town hall 7 560k. I may pick up an 80K flight caterer along the way if I run out of jet starts to collect. I haven't decided.

Anyway, I am still trying to collect laptops, defrosters, offset antennas, and yadi antennas. Once those collections are complete, I will start collecting for higher tower levels.

Cool! So I don't have to be hyper about ensuring third place on any I start. I'd like to use up all my useless small points (additional stabilizer, explosive bolt, and solid fuel) before throwing in my big boys.

Unless my power collection grows much faster than my launch collection.

I get the feeling if I want to clear out my low point power units (additional stabilizer, explosive bolt, solid fuel), I should start a Green launch, claim third, pledge 401 points, and announce when I will close the launch (at the end of my point giving day).

I am open to simpler strategies.

@jimstreet - If you wish to start launches with only small points, you can do that. However, maintaining your place would be difficult, unless you opened it and loaded it for a while before announcing it. But if you're doing that and someone preps for a launch, they can join it and mess up your plan.

@Captain WH Rollins has a weekly green launch on Fridays. The only fuel allowed is everything from Large fuel tank down. In other words, Additional Stabilizer, Explosive Bolt, Solid Fuel and Small Fuel tank and the one you pay for. This launch cooks for 23 hours or so, and then launches. There is a thread about it in the Airport Chat forum I believe, or you can PM the good Capt. and ask him about it.

Also, believe it or not, if you end up getting into a lot of QL parties down the road, those small items can go real quick. I went from a large supply of smaller stuff to virtually nothing in the span of 2 QL parties on consecutive weekends (Except for Solid Fuel, which never runs out).

Whatever way you choose is fine, as long as it meets your needs. There are just some things that are beyond our control that can occur with those types of launches. Depending on how you go about it.
