New member spotlight

One of the new features for Rocket J. Squirrel Productions is the member spotlight. During the week, new and current members will be spotlighted to provide a chance to send them neighbor requests, fulfill their / your gift needs and to just familiarize people with each other, who we may, or may not see very often on the forum, but are active players.

Today's member spotlight features @cats are awesome. She has been a member of the forum since 11/16/2015, and posts regularly on the forum. She is currently at level 55, with 124 stars and 9 hearts. She appears to need 1 Smart glass and 1 X ray scanner to complete her level 8 terminal , and all Duty free items (Except Eau De Toilette) as priorities.

My game rewarded me nicely today. I got better than usual collection items from flying Cape Canaveral. Then, I got a taco from one of my mexico flights and it resulted in a collection earning several thousand coins and 1000 rep points, plus the mexican restaurant building, I'm calling it a good day. I hope I have enough resources to placethat building. It's always something.

I don't think the Alliance Game had the effect on players that GI thought it would. Instead of playing more to win maps and other prizes, forum members seem to be playing less because of the blatant cheating that's going on. (Okay, players could also be paying real money to get millions of passengers a week but somehow I doubt it.) I'll say it again: What were they thinking?
Because the last few quests were repeats and many of us "autocompleted" them because of stockpiles of items from years past, the need to ask questions and comment on the forum has diminished.
I also think some forum members have just given up and either quit the game entirely or are just checking into the game every day or so until Gi fixes all the bugs and makes the game playable and fun again.
Personally, I'm flying to the four new Back to School destinations hoping to grab a couple stars. Perhaps when that's over we'll get a new or regurgitated Holiday quest.

to all, here is the message I have sent to Ivan ( of GI ) and this is his answer about the new update ;

1- by rocky :

Can you tell me what is happening exactly. Windows PC players can no longer visit their neighbours since almost a week now and also, we don't have access to Facebook Airport city site through the game anymore.

If we don't get a reason or explanation of what is happening, GI will loose a lot of players and a lot of money. At least, they should tell us what exactly is happening and maybe the players will keep their game open.

Hoping to receive an answer for this matter.

I don't mean to ignore you on purpose! I see all those messages from you.

We're really busy with preparing all the updates before the holidays kick in, and we're wrapping up works on huge Windows update that hopefully will both bring you fun new things and resolve some of the nasty issues like neighbour visits. Windows is in transitional state itself right now, which is part of a reason this update takes so much time to do.

Thought For Today
Or I can pose this as a question to more specific.
Although we haven't been capable of visiting others for quite some time, ( way too long in fact); how many of you have spent much time shuffling around buildings, adding and/or deleting, or upgrading since all this began? For me, I've done some new things, and as larger more populated buildings become available from drops, I am tending to removing those little tiny cottages or small eateries for the larger, giving more people and coins benefit.
I still do hang onto a couple of things, newcomers are challenged to collect, (I for 1 am nearly at a standstill even on side challenges, since only can visit Madeline and collect 5 things, while working on !KB2 city.

I have to agree regarding the transition with Windows. I have now been using 10 since July roll out.
Windows did a major upgrade to a newer version, last month to 1511 version and continues to send out cumulative updates almost every week, thus keeping other apps, companies, etc from completing tasks in driver updates, patches, fixes, and even system/BIOS updates. For those of us on devices that were purchased prior to Windows 10 release, this can be a major drawback on some. An example is my graphics adapter and HD drivers. Although Intel has newer versions, right now they don't work well with older versions of apps, including AC. Therefore I have to delay the downloads until Windows, and the apps can sync correctly for things to run smoothly.
I know all this can be very frustrating. It certainly has been for me after spending hours, banging my head trying to find a solution; all the time it right there in front of me; simply dont update anything but those from Microsoft. Microsoft has a small file called wushowhide.diagcab. which is a Troubleshooting Pack Cabinet file. For those of you who have devices pre-Windows 10 but are using 10 now. running this allows you to stop those auto updates from Intel, AMD, Nividia, etc that cause conflicts with apps currently running. Simply run the troubleshooter and select those updates that are giving you trouble. When you feel Windows 10 has gained more stability, run the troubleshooter again and deselect those drivers and fixes so they can download and install and get you back on track. Going to support fro your device also, by looking at recent driver updates, etc. If they are showing current dates like the month of December dates, it means Windows is becoming more stable with older devices.
