Why only have 2 runways?

Why not add where you can have more than 2 runways? it is already hard enough as it is to advance in levels without paying for the subscriptions. It is just an idea, it would make the game more fun to grind.
It was before that we can add many runways but they change it maximum 2.

It makes it really hard to level up when you only have 2 runaways. The game it self already takes awhile to grind.
Why is it hard to level up? Do you mean level up the runway? Just wait a minute until all the guest planes are gone then you can level them up.

I guarantee you, you would not like the old way of buying land for runways even if you could have more than 2.

Simple answer - "realism changes"

Now, imagine being limited to runway placement only in the lower, airport side, as was in earlier versions. Some players had 6+ 🤯

....and, more grinding awaits! 😱 ⚙️ 😬

No I mean in general it is hard to level up when you have only 2 planes that can land at a time, rather it is bring fuel, coins or even artifacts back. Also when you have your own planes landing. That is another thing the land sometimes is ridiculous on the price of it, as well as when you build a structure you wait for the timer to run out but you can't build it unless you have all of the pieces that are required and some you can't even get because you don't have any flights that go to that location.

Having 6 runways instead of 2 doesn't increase the fuel you produce to fly and speed up planes, nor does it make your planes fly faster. So your planes will only land when they land.

I've played the game with 6 runways and can guarantee, it doesn't help you level up faster. Even then, there was only a guest plane every 30 seconds. That hasn't changed since the game started. For your own planes, if they are complete but waiting for a runway, you can simply go into your flights and tap "complete" and your plane will magically bypass the runway and end up in a free stand. In fact, you can speed up most of your own flights for free once it is within 30 seconds of landing. This should all help you bypass the backlog on your runway.

As for the time to level up, the cost to build and so forth ... this is not a game that you finish fast. Some people here have been playing since the game started ... 10 years.

For buildings, you can pay for the buildings before you have all the pieces collected - town hall, terminal, control tower ... they can all be started before you have the items. You just don't get the benefit of the completed building (e.g. increased terminal capacity or population) until the building is complete. Many of the building items can be received as gifts and there are areas of this forum where people trade gifts with others who can send the required items.

As for leveling up, I don't know how long you have been playing the game but you should be thinking 6 months to a year to get to the top level (level 80) and even then, you will still have buildings to upgrade, destinations to fly to, adventures to go on, events to complete, etc.

The idea probably would NOT help you level up. But your idea is a good one because it does add more realism to an airport.

The general layout would probably be 2 runways that are horizontal and two that are vertical. These runways would be bidirectional.

Pilots land and take off against the wind. The wind direction can sometimes change from North/South to East/West.
