I have done a search but can’t find anything so asking here..
my game on my iOS device kept crashing, so I signed in on Facebook, deleted the app and reinstalled it, but it’s given me a brand new city.. how/where do I log in and get my original city back?

In Facebook if you delete the app and reinstall you cannot return back your city.
The same with IOS you should contact GI support to help you and these other thread members talking about the crashes in IOS.
Now try to contact GI support maybe you have a chance they return you city back.

Yeah I wrote to them on the in game support a few hours ago, got the “usually respond within 24 hours” reply so hopefully.. bit stupid though if there really is no way to save your progress to Facebook/game centre etc

Here the thread you will get the answers and help from other players just wait sometimes less than 24h
In Facebook it is like this if you delete you cannot return back.
IOS there is a chance maybe to return back your game lets wait someone to confirm that.
