Everyone knows this game can be fun, friendly and challenging.
The latter word brings me to my next words.
Often the events are challenging enough:trying to get from apprentice on up to expert, takes much effort as well.
However, it is and can be a very competitive game and may be more so quite soon; as I'm now receiving gifts from other platforms.
If you wish to vie for number 1 position in a destination, PM me and politely ask me to lay back a bit so you can have the Kings crown for the week.
And I will respectfully acknowledge that.

When I read this, I have questions..... As I only read your part of the story.... And only this small part.
A. Who started the launch? You, than you can have first, the other person, then it is polite to stay behind the starter. If you don't like it, you should not join him. If it is announcement as an open launch, then the quickest win.
B. You are joining with other platforms. Have you thought about it, normal rules between platforms can be different. Every platform evolved differently with other ways of interaction and maybe different 'rules'.
C. Why are you screaming to everybody????

Yes, it is not decent to be called names in a pm, but you are the one screaming in a post....

The way several interact on the forum is why I am here much less. Your post is also an example of this. Sorry to say it, but also think about your own way of playing and communication!

I think anyone has the right to ask you anything they like. It's not against any rules, so I see no grounds for reporting. Coarse language is not nice, sure - but we're all adults here.

But you, on the other hand, have all the right in the world to ignore them : )

@flip123 I think you missed what he was actually saying. He was not referring to a single launch but rather
placement on the world map whether space launches or flights to destinations. He evidently was catching
someone for the weekly ranking and received this message. I agree that the reaction was harsh but like most
things everyone has different reactions to being disparaged. But in any case I do not think anyone should be
receiving a PM such as that even if they were breaking the unwritten rules of launches, which KB is well versed in.
But yeah weekly rankings ...not a single launch.

On the other hands, I think we should have "dibs" section when people would call dibs on certain destination/platform/week just to spare unnecessary fratricidal competition.

I would have never guessed you would take the no rules approach. :ROFLMAO:
Actually a privately created fan forum can have any rules they wish whether
written or not, enforced or enacted retroactively. The creator is the final word on rules, not saying
what the rules are or are not here but stating the actual reality about rules and fan forums.

By no means I stand by "no rules" approach. But I just can't see what rule was broken here. Am I missing something like "Thou shall not ask your brethren to back the f**k off" ? : )

Thanks @Wired Parrott for clearing up what I was just about to reply back to @flip123 .
WP, you literally took the words from my mouth.
@Agent_L
At one time there were a lot of players who showed some respect for others instead of sending PMs or yes; seing someone is already well toward or in the top 3, and respected that at one time, hence they would allow those at the top 3 list at the end of he week to reap the rewards, and not trump them.
However sending PMs and asking someone to back off because they want to be like Yuzu or AnderL was, is out of the question.
As I said it's competition.
Where would the real world of sports be if every time the Jaguars played someone else, they allowed the other team to win, because they got emails asking them to throw the game?
Or WOW because Dale Earnhardt Jr. is so popular, Nascar tells the other drivers to make it look good for 250 laps, then allow Dale to win?
@Akims As you said, I know who my real friends and neighbors are now, and will continue to play the game as I have been.
If someone comes to me and asks me to help them get to a new ranking, from apprentice, to Specialist, or Master to Expert; or I see another neighbor short on launch time, I just have a tendency to help others.
It is who I am; and who I will remain to be, both on the field of play, and off.

@Akims thank you. @flip123 ,@Agent_L,is calling Dibs like someone callin shot gun, and i don't think it's right for anyone to yell at you in a PM i mean come on that's kinda childish you telling someone that, from now on i don't care who it is if this keeps up i will delete whoever says stupid idiotic things because this used to be a fun game and this was a forum with friends and now the people are tellin everyone else where they can fly to and can't!!!

@KenDuckySmith no problem was an obvious miscommunication.

@Agent_L Again I did not say they did break a rule per se as none are posted. Merely
stating that the rules if any can be applied when and however the forum owner would like.
As for we are all adults here, I will disagree with that as kids do come here at times.
Personally, though crude language does not bother me I find it better to use it very sparingly
and generally not within the anonymous confines of the internet. But again that is just my preference.

@Agent_L
Any person who manages a forum such as this; Dave or Cosmic Blue does have the right to change the TOS, or rules as they see fit.
Just as I manage/admin a group on Facebook, I have the right to change rules and or guidelines accordingly.
We who manage have the right to call the shots and do not have to follow, 'The Letter of The Law.'
