If you want to level up your alliance quickly, you should probably keep it as just you for a while. With one member, you only need to complete 3 tasks yourself to get 20 points. You will get to a higher level more quickly if you only have to manage yourself. Then when you get to level 5 or 6 alliance, you will be able to add a lot of people all at once.

Besides, right now there are a lot of top 100 alliances that are looking for new members including members who are not at the highest levels. That's tough to compete with
