Android Game transfer issue for changing phone

    Hello all,

    I would like to ask the forum for share your experience regarding android phone change.

    One week ago, I tried to use a new phone, and wanted to transfer my game from the old to the new.
    Normally, this is achieved with google play game, which have a save of the game for each phone.

    Normal behaviour it when connected to the new devices, a pop up should occurs, and asks for transferring the data from old to new phone.

    In my case, this pop up never occurs.
    Worse: I launched the old game, and the pop up raise on it, asked me to replace my level 37 with a level5 game.

    Opening a ticket to G!, I was said just to wait, and especially no more launching the old devices.

    Do you know how long you have to wait not launching the old phone game, before the pop up occurs ?
    or how long G! want to wait before applying another method than the pop up (if they could. They never said if they could solve that, just asks to wait).

    Or do you know another way to transfer the save game ?
    i'm not rooted, and helium is not connecting to my old phone.
    So i'm pretty stuck currently, and the support does not help a lot...

    Gemini, I am experiencing exactly the same problem. I have been asked to close the game on my old device but I can’t because it is broken.
    I’m wondering if I should unlink my old device from google play to get the popup message.
    Hopefully it can be sorted soon because I haven’t been able to play for 4 weeks now :(

    @Helen Mc Sounds not reassuring at all...

    I'm not convenient at all with sending to trash 3 months play, and it look like there is no real official solution here.

    Looking for other topics/forum, seems that G! could restore things manually, they just don't want to do it immediately...

    Hey Gemini, my game has been restored. No popup message but I did have a message waiting for me from technical support.
    I hope they can restore yours soon (y)

    Unfortunately, nothing on my side, also hope this will restore soon mine, don't happy if I had to wait 4 weeks :(

  6. Hi Gemini. I had this issue too when I bought my new phone. I was stuck for several days and then in phone settings had to clear the cache of Airport City game app. That helped and opened my actual game. I had to dig deep in the setting though, but I hope you can find it and hope it helps!

    I will give a try this evening with a good connection (my current is not so well).

    Already removed the cache of Airport city application, currently nothing more occurs, i will retry this evening.
    Really hope this will work, as the support does not reply at all since one week.

    @A350 Nope, the cache cleaning don't seems to make easier the transfer.

    I tried several times with a wifi stable connection.
    It begins to become really exasperating...

    But thanks for your advices, it was worth to be tried !
