iOS Flights (planes & helicopters) not counting towards stars

I am playing the latest version on iOS. I have noticed flights count when I tap them while on the runway per the usual. If they have entered hangars waiting to be landed, they count towards alliance tallies, not towards stars.

Yes, I found that the planes that landed overnight did not count towards my star total, but they did count for the weekly location count.
I think it counts the total for stars when the plane actually lands (not when it's completed).

So, since this update, we no longer see planes land if flights end when the game wasn't running. They are automatically in the hangars when we launch. So, we miss the opportunity to have these flights counted. I thought this was the case, so landed a couple of guest planes before I turned it off, to prevent any of my planes landing. But, this morning, the guest planes weren't there and my planes were in their hangars.

(I'm on a PC, so this isn't just an iOS problem)

It's not so much it being a disadvantage, it's about wasting time and flight items on flights that don't count towards the goal that your flying for.

for me its a big disadvantage because im hunting for 3 stars destination.. im just wasting ressource but dont get any stars.. very bad

Me too. I have decided to only go to space destinations and Hong Kong until this is fixed. I will still be doing my weekly space map.

Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen (Monday 11th December at 08.10am BST London)

Since non of my plane flights are being counted towards stars I have stopped all flights, it is just a waste of valuable fuel. As for my helicopter flights, they are being counted, have just collected my first star to Yellowstone.

Me neither stop sending flights just some of them and i am using speed fuel sometimes with small planes to complete alliance weekly mission.
Best thing is that i have time now to start production of helicopter items.
