Is Vaping Good For You?

This has become a major health issue here in the US and there have been quite a few deaths to those who vape both cannabis and other.
This morning I read that a big retailer will stop selling vaping pens and other related products, but only once their inventory is depleted.
Now what I do not understand is why WALMART would continue its sales on something that still may cause people to die!!!
As the latest, I still do not think the CDC has narrowed it down to one type of pen, chemical or other.
So why hasn't the FDA, or better still ATF divisions shut retailers down, and the makers of these items if it risks death?

You want a corporation to dictate what you are allowed to buy? I do not! Buy it if you want, the risks are known. If you drink enough alcohol, smoke enough cigarettes...among other things that are sold that could cause death, you will die. It is the adult human's responsibility to be aware of what they are putting into their body. I'm honestly surprised they are going to stop selling them.
Also please note, I do not smoke or vape, I have no benefit to this being legal or illegal, I just am responding to your question of why they don't.
They don't because in general, most people are not affected and because those that are affected, essentially chose to be. The risks are known. People know the risks of smoking tobacco and cannabis and they still smoke, it's a HUGE industry. People know the risks when they jump out of planes, people do this too.. :D

In 2017, 39,773 people died from gun-related injuries. Over 69 deaths from January til August of this year from mass shootings - yet pretty much anyone can still buy a gun - they can't even be screened for mental illness? But 8 deaths from e-cigarettes and they want to ban them. smh I'm not anti-gun - I'm anti-hypocrisy. I guess you just have to follow the money. Tobacco industry doesn't want competition, and they've bought a lot of our representatives - same as the gun industry and alcohol industry.

That is partially my thinking:

Hundred of gun deaths from mass shooting per years, and all given are just prayers...
But three deads from e-cigarettes; and this is terribly awful, we need to forbid it immediately.

Furthermore, from some article I have read, it may be possible the causes of these deceases and deaths could be bad quality ingredients that are directly smoken by the people; the NCHL don't know really what is the root cause for all of that.

The point I was trying to make is not so much to do with the deaths related to vaping. My point was more so directed at Walmart to make that last dollar they can selling off the remainder of inventory before banning it from their shelves.
Kind of like Colt rifles just now deciding not to sell AR 15 rifles to the general retail market instead of actually recalling the unsold ones from the gun dealers

The truth is we don’t know the real dangers of vaping yet. I’m a vaper btw. Was a smoker, left tobacco for e-cigs almost 4 years ago.
I’m convinced that vaping can not be worse than smoking. In fact, I’m convinced it’s less harmful than smoking.
I feel like an ex-smoker towards tobacco: I can’t cope with the smell, I feel bad when people are smoking next to me.
That being said, I hope they won’t make it illegal, especially if they don’t do the same with normal cigarettes

The government won’t decide, big tobacco will. If I believed in any afterlife, they would rot in hell in a packed airport smoking room with broken ventilation. (I’m a smoker, ex vaper, ex smoker too ;)).

Exactly my feelings. I don't smoke any more, but if I did, I'm sure I would have switched to vaping. I can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke - even being next to a car where someone is smoking makes it hard for me to breathe, or walking past someone who recently had a cigarette. And I agree with @BrianIsFlyin Walmart is - "yes it's bad - let us sell off our stock and then we'll quit carrying it!"

A real statement of commitment - we agree it’s terrible, let us just clear our stock first? 😂

I'm an ex smoker that vapes. I believe once a smoker, always a smoker. Even when I stopped there was always a strong urge for a cigarette when out drinking or socialising.
As such I vape. Far better then smoking. Who knows what the future holds, but vape liquid with 4 ingredients vs over 600 in cigarettes, i;m not too worried.

I smoke hookah with apple taste 😁

We live in a world where everything we do and everything we say is Bad. Some 19 year old University student has completed a dissertion on the bad effects of vaping? Are we going to trust that? And Walmart are not in business to be a responsible trader. They only care about Profit. Like all the other major industries (Opiate painkillers anyone?).

Sooo. I disgaree with a lot of consumptive human behaviour, but vaping does not strike me as unhealthy as (for example) driving the kids to school (all that CO2 - make em walk). I smoked cigarettes (mostly handrolled) for 30 years (stopped 10 years ago). I drink lots of wine, whisky and beer. I eat lots of pork and beef. I could go on forever on what bad things I am doing. So I say lets chill about vaping. Let Walmart profit from it's sales. It's ok by me. Enjoy. :)
