Oh I love Apple Strudel - haven't had it for years - enjoy!

Typical Saturday tea tonight - home made club sandwiches - bottom layer chicken breast with salad and mayo, top layer cooked ham, garlic sausage and cheese with fat chips on the side. Sat in front of the telly and getting in a right mess!

That means a 4 day party - wow, go for it!

Now that is my lifelong fave comfort food - goes back to mum cooking it as a kid. Can't beat it (apart from Steak and kidney pudding and chips)!

. . . . . . . . and Sunday night tea - toasted crumpets with butter and honey, followed by a generous slice of lemon curd swiss roll and a big pot of Tea. I love Sundays!

We had Beef Goulash with rice, home made and delicious, followed by treacle sponge and custard - real comfort food sat near the fire watching the snow on a very, very cold English day!

That sounds amazing, and not something I would be comfortable putting together . . . . but maybe you have inspired me. We had proper mothering sunday fare yesterday - roast joint of pork with all the trimmings followed by fruit crumble and custard - real good hearty food as it is so still...

Totally agree - we tend to go simple on a Monday, bit of a detox after the weekend. Lovely bowl of cream of tomato soup with a warm bread roll and butter - perfect on a winters evening!
