Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Our computer is starting to act like it's about to crash. We may have to get a new one to fix this problem, and hopefully we can do so soon. That said, we may be unable to gift for a while. If you are one of our regular gifters please know that we will continue to gift as long as we can, and will resume as soon as we get this problem fixed.

BTW, does anyone know the best way to transfer our AC games to a new Windows laptop? Arrgh!

Just copy the folder(s) is easiest per my understanding. Can be used to transfer or backup and suspect can be used just for neighbors list too since is its own file\folder on Windows.

Make a note of your existing game support ID. Download and play the game on your new laptop to level 3 then contact game support and ask them to transfer your old game code to your new one. I've done this several times.

Hi Christoper and Mary,
Once you have your new computer up and working, you should install AC, then follow Capt WH Rollins guide. If you have MS OneDrive activated, best would be to copy of files to and from OneDrive. Alternatively, you could use any external storage like ext HDD, flash stick etc., as Capt WH Rollins mentioned.
If anything is not clear, just PM me and I will be glad to support you.
In case your old PC is about to stop working, it might be a good idea to copy the files asap before it stops forever. Even after that it will be possible to retrieve info from the hard drive, if the drive itself is not damaged, but that will require more experience.
