I tried the secret basement a couple of days ago. Received exactly 0 during those 6 hours. However, since yesterday the drop rate seems to have improved slightly. After all those days with no drops, I managed to collect 5 yesterday. Now I have an astonishing amount: 7 😆. No way I’ll be able to collect 100 before event ends. And I will not spend 24 or 30 greenies just for the sake of the badge in forum.

I have 10 from before. Just started secret basement, collected 0, golden frog, collected 0. Only thing left to finish but not spending a centime. I would have bought Premium IF I cou’d finish under my own steam but refuse to be steamrollered into buying stuff. Reckon this is my tipping point for events after 3 years .

9 jackets, been speeding up arena a couple of times, think not a chance of getting there in 4 days, so no point, not going to finish, agree might have premium'd if a chance of that.... I AM doing ok in my league, but know that's pure luck!

Totally agree, this could change my mind totally on events of it caries on like this.
I have never ever complained about drop rates on anything but this is clearly aimed at buying your way to finish. When I first started playing I didn’t finish any events but everything I had could be used in the next one so some events I played 3 times before completion.
This event is nothing more than a shambles, 100 jackets and 40 instruments, my iPad is almost on 24 hrs a day - so far I have 9 instruments and 15 jackets. I cannot do anything to add to the drop rate as the bonus has no effect - as many others have noted, and I can’t use ones I had previously,
It’s clearly aimed at people buying greens to get jackets or instruments. Im very lucky, I have 2 mints, I could easily buy enough to finish but I don’t want to - but what about anyone from the last 3 or 4 years who do not have any CBM and their only way to get greens is to pay -£/$/€/¥ that is just wrong and something that should not happen. GI have said for a while now that they want to bring everyone to the same level but all they are doing is creating different groups of players. And what about those who came over from FB at the end of 2020, i thought I had read somewhere that they are allowed 10 buildings as they could have unlimited on FB, of this is true how can that compare to someone who is limited to 6. None of that affects me as I have access to greens through my mints but it doesn’t mean it fair.
I do really hope these last two events are not a vision of the future where you HAVE to use greens to finish it. If so the that’s it for events for me, plenty more things to do like complete all destinations and get all stars and adv buildings
The last event I didn’t complete was the first age of ash, the really difficult one but I didn’t mind as I had some bits saved for when it came back

I must admit I had problems with musical instruments at the start but spyglass, dice and sky Capt solved that one but the jackets are too stupid for words. I saw cbm advertised when I started playing, remember thinking golly That’s a lot! Obviously didn’t get any but that’s life. Makes you way more cautious spending greens.

My sentiments too. Feel like asking for them to compensate me for a secret basement that doesn’t work! And it was arena. Camping zilch in 5 days.
Same here. So far, I only have six biker jackets total. I just can't figure out the pricing strategy GI uses. Seems like they either think everyone lives on a silicon valley budget, or they just don't want me to spend as much as I would. I have spent some money on this game, but I'm amazed by some of the price tags. Does anyone other than a trust fund baby spend $29.99 just to get an event building? And I've just about hit my city size limit at Expansion 101. I'd like to have one more row across the back, but I just can't bring myself to sell my oldest child.

Same here with the lack of drops. But does it even matter? It doesn't! The task rewards are drumsticks. Drumsticks are all we need to level up to get the reward on these revamped quests. And the reward is just another building for the warehouse. I miss when this game was exciting and had interest. Playing too long to put it down now. I'll just keep drudging along until I'm surprised someday.

if I don’t get 100 jackets...what do I miss? The 100 drumsticks and the 500 drumsticks for completing all the “tasks”. 600 drumsticks missed out on...a drop in the bucket compared to the number needed just to get to Lvl 20.
This is the worst event in the era of “premium” events. I will not fly just for drumsticks (using up 100 limit items to fly), or spend hours landing guest planes...or pay cash to skip levels...I’m a Gold subscriber, but this event...stinks.
