For me it is not reasonable to continue playing with 100 items limit.
G! promised to do not apply it for old players but...
They did with Limit100 few years ago, but then they cancel it for old users. Not it is for everyone.
I will keep playing, need to reduce stock in my WH, they I can play more smooth like now.
It is a bit anoying, yes. But after a while should be better. It is stil a first day after huge update, keep playing. I need items for Terminal (Level 12) and Control Tower (Level 13) and I know you can help me. ;)

Hello Freeplay.

My experiences with the new update to Airport City have not been positive. (Boy is THAT an understatment.) It has taken me several tries to get through the tutorial because my tablet keeps telling me that "Airport City is not responding. Do you want to close it." and presents the options "wait", "report" and "okay". I have to keep waiting until Airport City catches up on whatever background processes it is running. Just as with the previous versions, I can't even scroll the screen to move around in my airport because when I try I get that "Airport City is not responding" pop up window. I was hoping that these problems would be fixed with the update, but I should have known better and not gotten my hopes up. Point of information: Airport City is the ONLY game I run on my ASUS tablet, so it is NOT a case of my tablet being short on resources such as CPU capacity, memory or storage.

I have just discovered that my electricity usage is wonky. I had a surplus before the update and now I have a shortage. It now shows used as 4524 and capacity as 4248. So I will have to spend 30 or 60 airport cash to recover from this and get an electricity surplus again. I find this unfair and a pointless hardship to impose on long time game players. (Can you say 'money grab'?)

Due to the latest update, I am very disappointed in this game. They seem to have made things needlessly more complicated. I suppose that I will get used to how things work now, but the updated graphics and the new resource limits in the game do not make the game any more fun. If anything the fun level of the game has dropped a lot with this update. I will be playing Airport City a lot less now. I am frustrated because I have to learn how to do things all over again, and the tutorial was of no help with that. How does making processing guest planes a three step procedure, from a one step procedure, improve things? Then telling the game players that to go back to a one step procedure they have to buy a new bulding? It's a money grab.

Well if the objective was to discourage long time players from continuing to play the game, and to reduce the number of players of Airport City overall, then the developers have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. My time is better spent playing other games, where the games are more fun because they respond to game input immediately, and the games are well maintained.

To the developers: you maybe be pleased to learn that you have just won a new award from me: the Completely Ridiculous And Pointless (CRAP) award for the most unncessary and useless game update of 2019.

I realize that based on other postings in this thread, I appear to be in the minority regarding the problems I have encountered with the updated game. I can't help but wonder though, how may game players may have experienced what I have and have silently given up and uninstalled Airport City. Aside from resorting lost games or moving games from one tablet to another, GI tech support does not listen, respond or address performance issues or bugs. Thus there is no point in wasting my time contacting them again. Clearing my cashe on the game, is their standard response.

I do not know if this thread will be of any help to any players of Airport City, or even to GI, but I thought it necessary to inform the Airport City community that not everyone is pleased with the update.

Thank you for your attention,
Canadian Cowboy.

It wasn't meant to be lost, but then again unopened gifts are not meant to be a second unlimited inventory either.
I'm receiving Fuel-3 gifts even after I've updated, from neighbors who usually gift me Fuel-20. Sure there's not some kind of other bug going on here? In my case, it's not about unclaimed gifts that changed during the transfer but gifts I didn't have before the update but received (hours) after the update.

I have a feeling that the f(3) is coming from neighborrs who haven't updated yet. F(20) changing to f(3) from V6 games??? I've received a few f(3), but mostly f(20).

Most probably.
Before I update my main, several gifts were f3, and others f20. I’ve picked the f20 one by one, then updated. All those f3 were changed to f20. So I guess it also works the other way round.

We've released the 7.0 update for iOS, Google Play, Amazon, and Windows. It should be available for everyone in a few hours.

My update went super smooth with the exception of my city being under powered. Had to bring back a couple coal plants to move forward. Other than that compliments to the GI team for providing this update pretty darn smooth for what it did.

I like it, it is great and particularry I love the fast push back
Good stuff about the passenger-buildings
Great job and thanks for the switch; my airport had a make-over in good condition😀

All seem to have gone smoothly so far for me!
Screenshot below shows how I was compensated for the hangers etc.

Cheers Ivan for all your support on the transition....your responses to the many questions and queries were very useful...

My game doesn't regenerate fuel when offline.
Not always - when I close it and open again it's OK. But when it crashes or I restart it (as opposed to just reopening), it hasn't generated any fuel.
And the game on my iPad crashes frequently, so I'm guessing I'll be losing a ton of fuel regularly.

Also, is it just me, but my planes do not use the second runway when taking off. The second plane just waits for the first one to go. This is taking forever...

Hi, and thanks for writing a detailed review.

First and foremost, the main problem here it seems is that Airport City doesn't run as it should on your tablet. While we try to support all suitable devices, there're thousands of very different Android phones and tablets, and there're some of them that just don't work properly with our game. If an app started crashing and acting wild with 7.0 update, but worked all right on 6.31 — there's a good chance we'll be able to fix things or at least substantially improve them with 7.1 or later updates. However, if it was acting strange with 6.31 and previous updates, too, the only solution might be to change the device (or, if it comes to that, to stop playing the game, but playing a Windows 10 version, for example, doesn't even require a new phone or a tablet).

Electricity changes all at once were not intentional, but yes, lots of buildings in airport area got updated with new specs, including electricity requirements. Since neither Runways, Terminal or Hangars now take up space in tech area, there's plenty of space for power plants there, including those that cost 100 coins per one. Out of all expensive things in the game, electricity requirements are hardly a money grab.

Three step procedure gets back to one step procedure with one building called Ground Control available from level 4 for 300 coins (and 100 more coins for building it instantly). 400 coins is a non issue even on level 7, let alone for anyone who plays the game longer than three days. This feature is in place for newer players because for the first few levels it is kind of fun to manage it yourself — and you can automate it a bit later.

Other than that, well, there'll never be an update that everyone likes. Airport City is played by millions of players, and every one of them has an opinion what should be improved, what is good and what is bad, etc. We try to move forward with features that seem relevant to many players — and we try to do the minimum amount of annoying ones that we can't avoid. I hope you can get your Airport City working on another device if it comes to that.

The u turn doesn't look good. The path from the terminal should lid to the start of the runway.

Build Terminal Sections and the path from the terminal will update automatically with them. Eventually, that path will lead to the start of the runway (check out Madlen's city with two level 10 runways to see it for yourself).

We'll check the fuel, if it's bugged — we'll fix it in 7.1 update.

Your departing planes will try to use the first runway (close to Terminal) when possible, while your arriving planes will try to use the second runway (far from Terminal). That's the basic rule now, this way planes (generally) are served fast. But there's certainly a need now to upgrade both runways to land guest planes and manage your own ones effectively.
