Omg! Didn't realise you were from my birth town! and yes, I have dived at Stoney Cove, when I as was much younger - all I remember was it was freezing cold, me in a wetsuit, down to about 30 meters, and I took ages to stop shivering afterwards!
I used to live in Sileby, and then mountsorrel, so know that area well...
