UPDATED on June 4
This is the iOS version of a recent Android Quest. I read that forum and have summarized the steps here. Thanks to all of our pioneering Droid neighbors for figuring it all out and sharing it with us.

1. Get Bracelet from Bali Island
2. Go to the Country House of Mr. Wulf ("Show me" will point out the house)
3. Get a Certificate of Authenticity from the Research Labs in the neighboring towns - 1 time
4. Buy an Atlas from the Bookstore - 1 time
5. Take a magnified photo at a Research Lab in a neighboring town - 1 time
6. Find some map drafts in Bookstores of your neighbors - 6 times - earn two maps to Machu Picchu (found in Warehouse and good for six hours when used)
7. Fly to Machu Picchu using a map from the Warehouse - Turboprop
8. Recover the Bas-Relief in Machu Picchu
9. Buy the Map to Tollan at the Airship Store ... or become an Expert at Machu Picchu and receive a chest with three random maps
10. Fly to Tollan using the Map (found in Warehouse and good for six hours when used)
11. Assemble the Aztec Legacy Collection by flying to the ancient cities:
Machu Picchu: Turboprop - 20 fuel and 38 passengers - 6 hours (drops Bas-Relief of the Incas - seldom)
Tollan: Turboprop - 20 fuel and 38 passengers - 6 hours (drops Obsidian Knife - seldom)
Tenochtitlan: Jet - 24 fuel and 80 passengers - 6 hours (drops Two-Headed Serpent - seldom)
Quetzalcoatl Temple: Jet - 24 fuel and 80 passengers - 6 hours (drops Quetzalcoatl - seldom)
Chichen Itza: Jet - 24 fuel and 80 passengers - 6 hours (drops Bird helmet - seldom)
(I just discovered the details for this when my Christmas Tree dropped a Two-Headed Serpent and opened up this collection. Wonder of wonders!)

Completing the Aztec Legacy Collection six times (thanks for the update, TimP!) earns the Aztec Pyramid:
Aztec Pyramid.jpg
3x3 - increases max population by 50 - produces a collectible item each day, like the Alien Legacy or Christmas Tree.

This appears to be a very complicated quest. More to follow!

Tips on Flying to Machu Picchu

Again, I compiled this from our Android neighbors' forum so they deserve the credit.

Before you attempt flights to Machu Picchu, make sure you have enough fuel. Vintage Weathervanes and Secret Faucets will also come in handy if you have them.
You must fly ten times to Machu Picchu to gain one star and receive another Map to Machu Picchu.

1. Find Map to Machu Picchu in your Warehouse and tap Use. The six-hour timer begins.
2. After six hours is up, the destination disappears and you can no longer fly there.
3. Destination Machu Picchu is right at the top of the flight list. Turboprop required.
4. The flight to Machu Picchu takes six hours.
UPDATE from Blackcloud: You need to assign the plane to the destination within the 6 hours time frame only. The planes do not need to land within the 6 hours, you can have it sitting on the runway ready for take off or in the air it will still count when it returns to the hanger which can all be after the 6 hours has expired.
5. Make sure you complete at least ten flights within the time limit to get the second Map to Machu Picchu.
6. You will get the third map when you complete another 20 flights to Machu Picchu and you will get a chest of three random Maps when you complete another 60 flights (total of 90).

You can choose to rest and accumulate fuel before you activate the next Map to Machu Picchu or you can do a marathon and complete it in one go. But you need lots of fuel to accomplish that.

Is there a time limit on this it seems very complicated if you have to complete in the 20 days?
My understanding from reading the Android forum is that there is no time limit. It's like the Alien Legacy or Space Travel Monument quests; you can continue to earn them after the main quest is over.
Cheers,
Tom

Thanks so much for the summary - that helps dramatically!!! Especially considering that I am only on step 3.:blackalien:
The It Came From Outer Space Quest has a time limit. The Aztec Pyramid Quest doesn't. Right now my priority is to fly Jets to Tungusta until I have three stars there ... then trade the Jets in for Powerful Deltas to fly to Roswell ... then trade those in for Jumbos to fly to Bermuda ... hoping to finish the Above and Beyond Collection before time runs out while collecting as many stars as possible
Cheers,
Tom

4. The flight to Machu Picchu takes six hours, so unless you speed it up using fuel or a Vintage Weathervane, you will fail.

Just to correct you on this. You need to assign the plane to the destination within the 6 hours time frame only. The planes do not need to land within the 6 hours, you can have it sitting on the runway ready for take off or in the air it will still count when it returns to the hanger which can all be after the 6 hours has expired.

Is anyone else having problems getting the atlas to drop from the bookstore? I can't get it from mine or neighbors!?!
The Atlas only drops from your own Book Stores, not your neighbors'. Later on in the quest you look for Map Drafts in your neighbors' Book Stores.
It's random ... but it helps if you have six Book Stores in your city and tap them every time they regenerate. It took Waverlyhuff2 two days before it dropped. My Waverly huff game dropped it on the second Book Store I tapped. Random.
Cheers,
Tom

I have 6 bookstores, anyone welcome. But as greensmith wrote, you can get Atlas only from your bookstore.:bored:

I was lucky to get atlas in my second attempt! I guess that was pure luck. Btw, don't bother looking at bookstores in my city; I only have one (found to the left near the bottom, if anyone are interested after all).

I am at step 6, but I haven't really been looking for the map drafts, 'cause I spend all my visits looking for those *%#+?* geiger counters :)
