Windows Neighbor visit glitch

    Went to do my daily neighbor visits today on my Windows game and this is what showed up. In addition, it freezes or locks the game and you can only close the game reopen it. I can receive and return gifts, but cannot send any gifts as I can't see my neighbor list. Are any other Windows players experiencing this?

    My friend Wilma who plays on Windows has seen exactly the same behaviour! Game freezes when trying to bring up the neighbour list to visit someone. Also, when sending outgoing gifts, she gets a whole heap of a Russian Madlen Airborn called Madelena Airborovna, as well s some superimposed text in cyrillic characters!ac-error4_wilma.JPG

    yes, the only way I could send gifts was to use my back up files to restore gamegameglitch.jpg

    David, how did you do that? My friend hasn't figured out where the AC files are in Windows 10, and therefore she's at a loss on how to repair it... I play on iPad myself and the iOS platform is not affected. In any case, all users affected should definitely report to support - this is something they need to get to work on ASAP!

    Wilma reports that she can visit and send gifts to her Alliance members at least by using the Alliance task menu, which still works. I forgot to ask whether she still had credit for alliance flights done so far.

    I just opened a ticket with GI - we'll see what happens.
     
  8. Step 1: They say it's your fault and you are not playing the game right.
    Step 2: They send you a generic message about how we are looking into the situation.
    Step 3: Patiently wait to hear about a solution.
    Step 4: A year later, they finally fix the problem.

    Some of my support accounts have this problem.

  9. Same here appears to be only windows is affected.

    tried to fix it by using back-ups, but diden't work, opening GI ticket

    You forgot that in-between step 3 and step 4 there's an email talking about the matter going to be fixed in the next update

    Nope, not yet. My afflicted friend just got the usual crap answer from GI requesting screenshots!
     
  14. so, not all windows games were affected - but a bunch of them were... I hate those random glitches :mad:

    Having same issue. Game freezes with neighbor visits, and can't send any gifts.

    Same here! I am the friend that CajsaMacD has been referring to - decided to become a member myself and just signed up! I am attaching their message and my reply. I have also posted on their Fb page, albeit a slightly less irate comment than below. Credits to Cajsa for helping me with screenshots and other techy bits.
