Does anyone here play the new Insight game Mystery Manor? So far I like it, but there is SO much going on I'm not sure I have figured it all out yet ;-)

Same as with Airport City, it is difficult making friends that are actually active in gift giving and helping you out. So if you play Mystery Manor, please add me :)

    My friend code is 3ce25f.

It says you can use each code 3 times, so I guess my code expired now. I'll add you next time I play the game.

All the missions are a bit confusing, I have a ton of skeletons and zombie stuff, but I'm not getting the items to charge the collection and I have no idea how or where to get them. :-/

I'm really annoyed with all the timed events in this game. They are IMPOSSIBLE to complete without spending a ton of (real) money. I have gathered all the zombie and skeleton items, but the items to charge the collections are nowhere to be found. They don't drop from the monsters and they don't drop from the rooms. You can only get them with spending diamonds. Plus the amount you need is HUGE, 19 aspen branches to charge the skeleton collection??

Then the timed events for the unlocked rooms, same thing. For example the Hunting Rooms. Requires 10 golden bullets to explore the room. The bullets drop from other rooms but very slowly. The only other option is to spend diamonds. Then to complete the timed event, you need to complete and charge 25 collections! 25!!! So not only do you need to spend tons of diamonds to get the bullets to explore the room each time, you need to find 125 items PLUS all the items required to charge the collections. Oh, and ofcourse all the energy you need to search that room over and over again.

I don't see how any of this is possible without spending real money, which is as user unfriendly as it gets. I think spending real money should be for extra stuff, like bonus items and whatever. Spending money should not be a requirement to play the game.

What do you guys think HD and lucky? You've been playing it a little bit longer than me.

agree with you re how long it takes to achieve anything interesting. at the moment I have decided I will not spend any real money on this game, if only because the diamonds cost way to much even after the last discounts.

thus I play about 3 times a day for max 20 minutes, really just a short break from real life, then I run out of energy and need to wait several hours to allow it to recharge to explore at least a couple of rooms. game is fascinating for being so complex, shame the energy recharge time and the impossible events.

Yeah the energy recharge takes forever :-/ They stated on FB that they are not going to change that.

I noticed that the Hunting room got fixed, it no longer requires 10 golden bullets each time you go in. However, for the Library, Fortune Telling room and Japanese garden you'll still have to spend 10 items to go in each time. And there are probably more rooms like that I assume.

I did contact customer support because I was so annoyed with the zombie/skeleton thing. I actually bought a Van Helsing's Chest with the diamonds I collected throughout the game, because it stated that you'd get 500 of each anti-monster weapon. Well, I only got the weapons to banish zombies and skeletons. I only encountered a handful of them each day, so after banishing 50 zombies and 50 skeletons, and not receiving a single charge item I contacted customer support.

Apparantly I was supposed to get ALL the anti-monster weapons, so they did give me back the diamonds. I purchased a new chest (the small one) and did get all the weapons this time. Also, the zombies and skeletons were suppossed to drop charge items and not just collection items.

I played a bit today and the zombies and skeletons are now dropping charge items. So are the vampires. (At a very low rate though) But none of the other monsters are.

It just doesn't make sense at all, the drop rate for the monster collection items is much bigger than the drop rate for the charge items, but you need a ton more charge items than collection items. For the skeletons you need 5 collection items, plus 20 charge items, so for each collection item you need 5 charge items. I have approx 75 skeleton parts, but only 15 charge items in total... when I should be having 375 charge items.. lol

I'd be surprised if I'll be able to charge a single collection, because so far it's not looking good. And to complete the event you have to charge each collection 5 times.. lol I wonder who made this up, I don't think they got an A in math..

Anyway, I'm not going to spend real money on this game either, the prices for the items are too steep and the events are impossible to complete.

Ive played mystery manor a few times and it seems like a very addictive game! Only downside ive found is that it appears to be a bit of a battery drainer!

Dave, it is pretty addictive, but some things just aren't right. Imo this game is more designed to get your money. :-/ Airport City is well playable without spending real cash. If you do spend money it's more like a bonus, you can speed up buildings, buy extra land quicker, buy collection items etc. I don't feel like I'm missing out or are unable to play the game without pulling out my creditcard.

Mystery Manor however, is very frustrating if you don't plan on opening up your wallet. I'm actually emailing back and forth with customer support about the monster mission which was IMPOSSIBLE to complete. Since you've played the game you probably know that you don't just complete a collection by gathering 5 items, no, you also need additional items to charge the collection.

So for the monster mission, you had several types of monsters wandering around the mansion which you had to banish. I purchased a weapons chest with the diamonds I had gathered since starting the game. So, I'm banishing monsters and gathering tons of collection items. But I'm barely getting any charge items. Which makes no sense at all, to charge a collection you need 5 collection items plus 20 to 60 charge items! So collection items should be much rarer than charge items, it makes no sense that the charge items are barely dropping when you need such a huge amount of them to charge one collection.

I actually did the math. I banished 1392 monster, I gathered 1998 collection items. But only got...86 charge items! So I was able to charge a whopping 2 collections... I have enough collection items to complete over 350 collections, but only enough charge items to charge 2 collections? Makes NO sense! In order to complete the mission, you actually had to charge each monster collection (all 10 of them) FIVE times. It's just impossible at the rate of which the charge items were dropping. The only way to complete this mission was to spend money, and lots of it.

It's like playing Mario Bros. and you're not able to jump, makes it simply impossible to finish your quest :-/ Unless you spend $25 bucks to make Mario jump that is.
