I was playing the event yesterday before 6am local my time. This thread was started more than 10 hours after that. I am willing to bet that the player was playing for more than 2 hours. Just because the Wiki says that this event is an 11 day event doesn't mean that G! pushes the event start...

I don't think the bowl of riches stacks like the other bonuses. Try checking your bonuses just from the bowl of riches and no other bonuses running. Bowl of riches specifically states quest items in the description. I am pretty sure this came up a long time ago that it doesn't work on...
