Yeah, sorry, missed the joke. But that article gives a lot of insight (no pun intended) to GI and the way they run their company ... and it's not great.
Yeah, that seems like a very simplistic breakdown of revenue, especially if the rumor that android games are more valuable to them is true. (That's why android users seem to get updates and "fixes" more often and iOS users just get screwed.)
But they "sell" solved repair tickets? I don't...
I would like to see this policy of Apple's. And if it is indeed Apple's policy (and I've heard of something similar from them before, because Apple gets a cut of in-app purchases, so they want people to actually buy things, not get them for free), then GI needs to find a way to compensate for...
Really? I was counting on the weekend code so I could expand too. (I was last week, but I figured that was just a glitch.) This makes the third code that doesn't work for iOS players.
Between the lack of stable iOS updates (didn't Android get a fix in a couple days the last time the update...
So I was gone for awhile ... hopefully I can get back to sending out gifts and sending my planes on flights. (Thanks for everything you guys sent while I was gone!)
Unfortunately ... maybe not.
I was just about to update when I read this thread, and I'm so grateful I didn't. It sounds like...
No good on my iPhone - the first time I tried nothing happened (not even an error message), but the second time I got the popup that said the promo wasn't valid.
Thanks for all the shears overnight - they got me my last orchid! So I don't need shears anymore. That finishes the V-Day challenge for me, but I think I'm going to keep flying to the romantic destinations for a couple more days though, to get more stars/coins. I actually like having the split...
I'm still having problems visiting neighbors, which is super unfortunate because I'm still trying to get shears to get the last orchid to finish this V-Day collection.
But I'm starting to go back to regular flights - still trying to get things for my fuel station upgrade and my duty free shop...
I am 1 lollipop, 1 orchid, and 1 rabbit plushie away from finishing this V-Day challenge. With 6 days left I'm much more comfortable than I was 2 days ago. (I've gotten many more flower drops lately, it seems like.)
So keep sending the shears ... hopefully I'll get lucky and get an orchid...
I thought about it, but I wouldn't have enough coins to buy back all the planes I'd need to run normal flights. So I'll keep sending my powerful propeller to Venice and working on the Provence and Verona flights. I only need 2 rabbit plushies, so hopefully that can happen in 7 days.
Speaking...
I think the training center was the reward for finishing the space mission during the countdown. Now GI has moved on to the Valentine's mission, and the training center is no longer available to be won.
Yeah, it's just unfortunate that for me it's that one. A mission involving flights just seems like I have much more control because I can turn around and keep trying. Instead first I've got to rely on neighbor gifts (which are great!) or being able to visit neighbors (which wouldn't be so much...
No, I don't believe that.
If everyone collectively stopped giving them what they wanted (money to do things that should already be achievable in the game on a basic level), or complained enough, or stopped playing, they'd get the message and be forced to make a change. Voting with your wallet...
I haven't received drops from buildings, but if you check the collection to find out where you can get them from it now includes neighbors:
- cottage (very seldom)
- training center (very seldom)
- side wing (very seldom)
- townhouse (very seldom)
- mansion (very seldom)
- stone castle (very...
Ha, that's generous. It's not that they make the droprates hard, it's that they make them near impossible, especially for lower level players or players that don't have a neighbor network of 200 people that can help.
I'm not advocating that GI not make money. I just think it makes more sense...
Oh, no doubt it can be played without spending real money. I won't spend real money on it. Haven't. But it's like GI tries to make the game as hard a possible and is reluctant to fix the bugs because people DO spend real money on fixing what should already be in the game.
Nope. You have to...
It must be hard to maintain different sets of code ( different versions for iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle, facebook, etc.). GI should really consolidate everything, standardize the game across platforms, and work on bug fixes.(Hey ... if they put in work to do that, it would be less work later...
