Has anyone been playing this. Been playing very casually for a few weeks now and need some neighbors

I was going to try this game, but I read somewhere that you had to connect through facebook to advance through the game. Is that true? I don't do facebook.

Yes, it is true. I tried it because it looked colorful. But I quit when I discovered that in order to purchase land expansions you have to have a certain number of Facebook friends playing the game. I don't do Facebook either.

I retired/deleted it a day or so ago. I started it as a support game for Waverly huff but after GI accused me of cheating (I bought 96 greenies and they gave me 1,070) we lost the neighbor connection. Plus personalized gifting with two games was a lot of work and took a lot of time. I don't know how Pakman does it with five games.

Looks like they may have changed it, as ive bought a couple of land extensions and you use either coins or green cash.

Seems like the facebook integration is now the same as Airport City.

Really cant recommend this game enough. Just as addictive as Airport City, but a change of scenery!

I started playing a short while ago when I need change of scenery like @Dave said, (on Android tab). The game must have been updated.
No need to connect to facebook. I have not encountered any bugs or problems yet. You start to get auto neighbor requests after level 5 or 6, just like AC.
Expansions require Building Permits, which drops from the Town Hall every day, I think. You buy with coins or greens.
I am still low level (11)

but, the more you play the more you get hooked.
@flip123 Your kid is welcome to add me (JayJ ).

Will you please add my both games to your AC games too?

I started playing again after reading these posts. But I'm Level 8 now and the only way I can add neighbors is to sign up Facebook friends. When do the regular neighbor requests kick in? Also, there's no tab on my profile to give me my neighbor code or name. Anyone have any ideas?

Im currently level 9 and can still add friends the same way I could when I was lower levels. Have you got a profile tab on your neighbours screen? That gives you your username which people use to add you. Also the box to input friends usernames. I've attached a screenshot.

@Dave,
I do not have that tab.

Perhaps I get it at Level 9. I did sign in to Facebook for the game using a fake account. But still no profile tab.

I noticed that there are differences in Facebook version and android version. iOS version must be different, too.
But somewhere in the menu, there has to be a place where you can add neighbors.
How about where your game support ID is...?

The only place I can add neighbors is to ask my Facebook friends to play Sunshine Bay. Since I only have a placeholder Facebook account with no friends, I guess that ends my Sunshine Bay experiment. I think that Airport City will give us an exciting new quest as soon as the Santa quest is over so my focus will return to AC.

Thats a shame. Hopefully one day they will add the feature to iOS. Free2Play , are we right in thinking that iOS players are unable to add neighbours?

Im guessing the valentines day quest will be next!

Please see If it works.

p.s. It appears that you can add facebook friends who are playing iOS version only. Other option is, you just have to wait until the random neighbor requests start to show.

I searched for "Waverly huff" with no luck,either.
I tried to add you as a neighbor in the game, but it gives not found error message.
Android players cannot add iOS players, and vice versa.
Very disappointing.
