Yeah thanks ..I saw that earlier .. In situations that I can’t find answers here...I usually go to FB...but all day nothing... it wa 23 hours ago it said iOS players would have soon...my definition of soon is not 23+ hours later....already looked at all the comments too and no updates.

If its any consolation its not a complicated event and wont take you long to finish. But i agree its not good that one platform has to wait so long.

I agree, some news is better then no news! At least we could carry on with our lives and not have to refresh the updates in the App Store every ten mins! Yes we are losing out on the rewards now 2 days behind! I wonder what % of users are on iOS? 35% or higher!

Hi GI could we have an update even if it is to say iOS version has some problems you are fixing!! Or we will get it today!!

GI have acknowledged delays and apologised in the past and on several occasions have given greenies as a compensatory gift.

I chuckle at the same complaints every event release. Everyone thinks that their platform is being ripped off... when Android is last to released, “Why is Android always the last to get the event?!?” Or Windows has issues, “Windows players are always the last to get the updates!” And iOS players crying, “why do Apple users always get punished?!?”. It’s been happening for years and every platform has suffered.

I completely agree that the better option would be to release updates with built in triggers to activate the events a week or more later when different operating systems (yes, it’s YOUR operating system owner that is to blame, not GI!!) can get their act together.

Crying, whining, screaming and bitching isn’t going to make the update magically appear. And while GI continue pumping out resource heavy events (often with very average rewards) every 3 weeks with only a few days break between, I don’t mind the extra few days of simple game play where I can focus on the traditional, main objectives of the game.

Take a break. Go and talk to your family - apparently they’re supposed to be quite nice people!:D:hungry:

This makes sense to me. If events have time triggers to end, it might be feasible to have time triggers to begin as well? And for the weekly airship visits/cash sale/land sale, they are all time-triggered.

Are you sure, Rob? I've read reports from different sources saying that exactly this magic behavior improves the drop rate during the events and enables easier event finishing, so the same might work in terms of making an update available for a download :)​

What kind of communication does it have to be? Hourly updates with the same words "It's still not available for iOS"? We had a post on Facebook that clearly stated iOS is delayed.

We can't give an estimate when exactly it's going to be available because it's out of our hands for a few days now. And as soon as an update comes through — everyone will notice it within an hour.

Sarcasm was so unnecessary but since that seems to be the norm...the post on FB was approx. 46 hours ago. It said the iOS update would be soon...which means “in or after a short amount of time”. I understand everyone’s definition of soon may differ...but in a span of an event that may last 14 days... soon was the wrong term to use....therefore an update would have made too much sense.

I've always told my colleagues that write those kind of posts to never ever use word "soon" for anything, because inevitably if something doesn't happen within the next 10 minutes — some kind of problem not being solved or an update being stuck somewhere in limbo between us and players — it is perceived as an intentional lie rather than our collective hope it will happen soon. I'm telling them right now to always use the phrase 'update is coming later' henceforth. Thank you!

Just what’s been said above, I don’t need much updates, not like each hour or 12 hours, but the last statement made has been nearly 2 days ago. Nothing done by gi or Apple in those 2 days? Anything wrong with the update? What do iOS players get in return for a -now already- 50 hours delay? Just a small statement after almost 2 days should not be such an issue for gi, is it?
