As I see it, bowl of riches has nothing to do specifically with event flights, but with flights in general. It has always the same effect as a spy glass, with shorter duration.
Don’t expect it to have any influence over drops from buildings

That was my though. However, as it says in my English version "This bonus increases the chance of quest drop (both common and collectible)..." I assumed that it had something to do with mission flights.

I’m still not convinced that Spyglass (and Bowl of Riches) helps all event flights. Quests are the challenges in the brown folder in the top left corner. If doing an event for the first time, SG helps you get through the event quests quicker but once each quest is ticked off, I doubt the SG has any effect on repeating the challenge.

If you don't have MS store on your computer face and are able to update, then you have to go to the MS store for the update. Have you tried going direct to them? Baz :)
