Well, we might do this thing some day, we might. And we've thought about it a number of times.

I'm quite conservative in many things that we do — and I hope that's one of the reasons Airport City is still up and running unlike some other GI titles that are on life support with no updates being released — but we do make changes based on your feedback.

Hi Ivan,
Out of interest, do you also work on Transport Empire? I’ve maxed out this game for ages now, with no updates for over a year - I keep occasionally sending in a ticket asking if there will be anything forthcoming, and I always get the same reply of ‘y3s, there will be a future update, but not sure when’ ...or similar.
Am I wasting my time keep on hoping for an update to that game, any inside information you can give?!

I've worked on Facebook version of Transport Empire for half a year — we've released the Quarry expansion pack back in February.

Well, I can't officially comment on current status of any project, but if there're no updates for a free to play game in a year there's a good chance there'll be no further updates in the years to come. It is feature complete, so to speak.

On a positive note, some members of the Transport Empire and Sunshine Bay teams now work on Airport City. Our team has grown, and now we have more resources to do those things that we've imagined for years.

We have simultaneous releases — within a timeframe of several days — for quite some time now on iOS, Google Play, Windows, Amazon Appstore and Galaxy Apps store. We've started doing that as soon as that was technically possible. Of course, we're going to continue this practice.

Hello Ivan, I’m glad your team has got bigger but it’s a shame the developers from Tropical Island have come over to Airport City (I enjoyed playing Tropical Island too) & now the captains have jumped ship it signals the end for the game the boats are sinking.. I have no doubt they will do a great job developing Airport City & with more people behind the scenes We can look forward to new events & more frequent updates :)

Ivan with more people behind the scenes are we likely to see Mission to Mars at some point in 2018 or has it been put on hold??

You have mentioned in this forum that we will need new buildings when the helicopters arrive but will there be more expansion to allow for the new buildings??

With more people behind the scenes we are more likely to see any and all kinds of cool things, but I'm not ready to get into details now.
Release schedule of roughly one major update per month is about to stay.

Helicopter buildings are mainly based in airport area, so the expansions aren't going to be an issue, really.

Why would they lower the price? The entire point of the game is really simple. Take a very long time to level up, expand and get items by playing for free, or pay to shorten the amount of time it takes to do something. Its that desire to speed up that keeps the lights on and pays the developers. You state plainly you refuse to pay money so you are saying you expect the developers to do things for free for you. Are you aware of how selfish and rude that sounds?
If you insist on playing for free, you are free to do so. Just don't expect the developers to humor your desires when you refuse to support them.

l have had numerous problems with GI where my airport has reset numerous times and have had to start over from scratch. That is the reason I refuse to spend real money. I have in the past spent real money and gotten messed over. As of right now my IOS airport is on the fritz with no help from GI. So, yeah, I'm not going to spend real money. If you want to...be my guest. It's your right. You have your opinion of the game and I have mine.

I completely get your reasoning and you make a valid point. In your case you're justified. You paid for something and didn't get it. I wrongly assumed you only played for free and never had paid anything.

One of the reasons that have been restraining me from spending real money in the game is that bad reputation. What if my game crashed? It happened a couple of years ago, and I had to start it over from scratch... then it happened again last year or so, but it was fully recovered by GI. One happy end, another not so happy...
I'm a bit scroogy and very careful in my expenditures so, I don't feel comfortable enough to spend real money (yet, I suppose)

That was my point also. I have been burned too many times to now spend real money. Don't get me wrong, I did put down a good chunk of change to this game but now have learned my lesson. Thank you for sharing with me. This way I know I am not the only one that feels this way.
